The Shibby

I have been hanging out in Busan, South Korea for the better part of a year. In that time I have experienced a whole lot of craziness...

Some Words of Wisdom

I've got a smile on my face, I've got four walls around me. The sun in the sky, the water surrounds me. I'll win now but sometimes I'll lose. I've been battered, but I'll never bruise, it's not so bad. And I say way-hey-hey, it's just an ordinary day, and it's all your state of mind. At the end of the day, you've still got to say, it's all right.

The Raging Rafters have taken the top honors at this summer's Busan Maritime Games, claiming first place in the 1 km rafting race. The team, consisting of Alex, Adam, Sam, myself, and several of our friends from both Busan and Changwon, managed to clinch the top spot after a heated and intensely competitive series of races. We left the competition with $300 in hand, free t-shirts and towels, banana-boat rides, and signed letters of commendation from the Mayor. In addition, Alex our team captain was given an English language TV interview on KBS1 which aired on Sunday night. It was an epic day with great excitement and was truly one of the best days I have had in a long while. Congratulations boys!
